Fontaines D.C. are a Dublin post-punk band made up of Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III and Tom Coll. Since the release of their Mercury-nominated debut album “Dogrel,” they’ve won over fans and critics alike with intensely political and poetic songs about male vulnerability, detachment, and the perils of modern living. As part of WePresent’s “Manifesto” series—which invites activists and creatives with something to say to write 10 rules to live by—Fontaines D.C. dug into the importance of writing and dreaming, and why you shouldn’t take your fans’ praise too seriously.
