French illustrator Felix Decombat’s illustrations are characterized by heavy black linework, bold primary colors, and the surreal and subversive narratives contained within. His style owes as much to Surrealists like Magritte and Dali as it does to experimental filmmakers like Takashi Miike, David Cronenberg or Russ Meyer. We first discovered Felix’s work when he submitted to Your Work Here, a massive open call where we invited WeTransfer users to submit their artwork on the theme of "black and white.” His “Bizarre” series of surreal illustrations was praised by judge Malika Favre for its poetry, oddity, and power. Felix also completes editorial commissions for the likes of Bloomberg Businessweek, the New York Times, and Le Monde.
