Born in France and based in Tokyo, architect, artist and designer Emmanuelle Moureaux is renowned for creating buildings, interiors and art installations that immerse visitors in forests of color. We fell in love with Emmanuelle’s ongoing “100 Colors” series of installations, for which thousands of cut-out colored numbers, sheets or shapes are strung together and hung from the ceiling in neat rows and columns. With each, she seeks to replicate the explosion of color she encountered when she visited Tokyo. These works have been installed in galleries and public spaces around the world.
