Elliott Jerome Brown Jr. is an artist and photographer from Long Island, NY. From around age 10, he began to take an interest in photography as a way of documenting objects and people. After enrolling at NYU, a professor encouraged Brown Jr. to think more broadly about his practice and he explored themes of privacy and space in a documentary project about the Ramble in Central Park. Alongside his personal work exploring these themes, he also shoots editorials for magazines, and takes portraits of some of the world’s biggest artists, leading to his photography being selected by Solange as part of her guest curatorship for WePresent.
