Founded in 1992 by oceanographer Sylvia Earle, DOER Marine is a “Deep Ocean Exploration and Research” organization committed to changing the way we think about oceans, and the creatures who call them home. DOER has been key to bringing the underwater world to the Google Earth experience, while other projects have seen them providing diving supervision to Greenpeace and developing a submarine that can provide unlimited access to the ocean’s deepest point.
