Dutch artist and illustrator Dick Bruna was perhaps best known as the creator of Miffy, the modernist rabbit who went from the star of a bedtime story Dick told his young son to a global icon. By the time Dick retired in 2011, the 124 Miffy books could be read in more than 40 languages, and her adorable face had appeared on everything from pencil cases and kimonos to Christmas cards for Amnesty International. Following Dick’s death in 2017, WePresent published a profile of the artist, along with a special tribute image created by our former creative director, Laszlito Kovacs.
