A first-generation Mexican American documentary and lifestyle photographer based in Mexico City, David Hanes-Gonzalez uses his camera as a tool to understand his roots, to explore his dual identity. We featured his project “No Te Dejes,” which saw him spend two years documenting the passion and heart of Mexican boxing culture, finding his own place in his family’s home country in the process.
