Cydne Jasmin Coleby is a digital and mixed media collage artist based in Nassau, Bahamas. She received her degree in art from the College of the Bahamas in 2012, and she then proceeded to work as a freelance graphic designer focusing on brand design. That experience in graphic design is still visible in her work today, but the mediums she works in now are much more tactile, using materials from acrylics to decorative paper, from glitter to sand. Her vivid collages are inspired by family and everything that comes with it, and they often explore the impact that the actions of our ancestors and generational trauma can have on our sense of self.
