It’s not surprising, given the powerful impact of her large-format, landscape-focused images, that London-based photographer Catherine Hyland has acquired a thriving artistic and commercial practice. Her striking series explore humanity’s diverse attempts (successful or otherwise) to transform and tame natural environments, and have been exhibited far and wide, including London’s Design Museum and National Portrait Gallery. Her client list is diverse (and impressive), from Apple, Tate, and Patel Philippe to Monocle, Vogue, and Vanity Fair. We collaborated with her on “The Rise of the Mongolians,” an extended series capturing the pride and spirit of young sumo wrestlers in Ulaanbaatar.
