Born and raised in Afghanistan, Azim H is a New York-based photographer whose work has been published in T magazine, Numéro, Vogue China, Vogue Homme International, and Vogue Ukraine. Focusing on the relationship between his subject and their environment, Azim aims to build narrative worlds in his work—often inspired by his own life and experiences. His project Edris, which we featured, is an attempt to recreate the mythical tales he heard from his parents as a kid, stories of heroic travelers crossing the mountains on horses. The series is a celebration of imagination and pure chance, and allows Azim to bring to life the myths and mysteries of his roots through photography.
