ANOUKVERA is a studio founded by Anouk van de Sande and Vera de Pont, recent graduates from the Design Academy Eindhoven, focusing on print, motion and visual storytelling. Under this umbrella, their work hones in on the materiality of textiles, and the ways in which they interact with the human body. Holistically, their work is recognizable through their use of handwriting—the fluidity acting as a bridge between their intercepting fields of graphic design and moving imagery. Their first physical collection (and their design output), “The Hairy Boob,” combines female body parts and men’s hairy features in an abstract way; the leggings, for example, trace the contours of the body and the accompanying shirts outline boobs in several sizes and forms.
