South-London born and bred (but working between there and New York) set designer Anna Lomax creates work that is a joy to experience. Her work is bright, colorful and inspired by pop-culture references, placing unexpected objects and textures into new environments— something which drew us to Anna’s practice. We gave Anna and photographer Jess Bonham a one-word brief, “trust,” and followed their flow from conversations over cups of tea to the four final images. When she’s not talking to us, her clients include Apple, British Vogue, Calvin Klein, Hermes, Google, Soho House, The Serpentine and The Wellcome Institute.
“There is always a degree of risk, so that means I have to trust my instincts for how something will work on set.”
