Anna Degnbol’s subjects (beautiful, interesting and sartorially-sharp women) are manifestations of what Anna thinks the future will look like based on the women she sees everyday. Add to that the fact that Anna is very fond of hands and, as such, her subjects have large (but still delicate) hands which feel powerful, giving her female protagonist’s a certain presence on the page. Using colored pencil, Anna’s style is predominantly inspired by the manga and comics she grew up reading, with one eye on what’s currently ‘in Vogue’ so as to dress her characters in current trends. Her clients have included Politiken, Vice Danmark, Monokrom, Broccoli Magazine, Goodbye Press, Mykki Blanco, Das Wetter Magazin and Homeschool.
