London-based Animade is one of the world’s best animation studios, producing bright, snappy, playful work for clients like Facebook, Airbnb and Mr Porter. Their work is big, bold and a self-proclaimed ‘romp,’ but WePresent wanted to know what would happen if they let their imaginations truly run wild. The result is “Tend,” an eight-minute animation about a dad, his child and what we prioritize as precious. While preparing to make the film, they were obsessed with the idea of having one central entity that the entire film was based around and which the characters could all interact with, and they landed on the warmth and flickering color of a campfire.
