Amrou Al-Kadhi is a British-Iraqi writer, director and critically acclaimed drag performer. Their first feature film Layla was produced by BFI, Film4 and Fox Club Films, and premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2024 in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition before also screening at the BFI London film Festival later that year. Their WePresent-commissioned film “Original Sin” stars Darina Al Joundi and Mojean Aria as mother and son at war over identity.
