Award-winning science fiction writer Alice Sola Kim resides in Brooklyn, New York. Iconic publishing platform McSweeney’s and WePresent challenged Alice and writer Shelly Oria to collaborate on a single story, inspiring and challenging each other as they built it. Contradicting her usual process (and that of most writers), each writer would take it in turns to write a chapter and pass it along to the other, who would then continue the story in their own style and direction. In 2016, she was the recipient of the prestigious Whiting Award, and her writing has been featured in McSweeney's Quarterly, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Tin House, Lenny Letter, Asimov's Science Fiction, Buzzfeed, and Strange Horizons.
