Born in Sweden but now an Amsterdam resident (howdy, neighbor!) Alfhild Külper felt a sudden urge during the pandemic to do something tactile alongside her busy day job. And so—in true multi hyphenate style—she began creating wool creations for (and about) her friends and family. By day, she is head of design at a high-end fashion house, but found herself craving softness and texture, having daydreams about creating by hand. The intensity of the process, for Alfhild, means that she develops powerful bonds with each and every rug.
