Akinola Davies Jr is a Nigerian-British filmmaker based in London. His critically-acclaimed debut feature-length “My Father’s Shadow,” which has already seen him nominated for a BAFTA, received a Special Mention for the Caméra d'Or at Cannes Film Festival, as well as becoming the first Nigerian film ever officially selected as part of the programme. We commissioned him to create “Spirit,” a short film made in collaboration with artist cktrl celebrating home and belonging in South London.
