Yumna Al-Arashi is an American photographer currently residing in Zurich. Her work has been shown in solo exhibitions in LA, New York and Berlin, been in group exhibitions from London to Dubai to Vancouver, and in demand from publications such as the New York Times, Vogue, Zeit Magazin, CNN and Huck Magazine. Entirely self-taught, Yumna’s work intersects activism, feminism, fine art, fashion, politics and travel. We spoke to her about her work, and the collaboration and creative process that goes into a final outcome, this time for album artwork for “Merlot Sounds” and “Champagne” for Obey City.
