London-born but New York-based, Shantell Martin is an artist and cultural facilitator, whose work explores themes of intersectionality, identity, and play. She was a visiting scholar at MIT Media Lab, and co-created a live performance with Kendrick Lamar at Art Basel in Miami. We featured Shantell after discovering her large-scale black and white drawings, which she draws on walls, floors, bicycles and even entire buildings. Shantell has collaborated with Nike, Vitra, and the New York City Ballet, and held solo exhibitions at 92Y Gallery, Albright Knox Gallery, and the MoCADA Museum.
