British director Hugh Welchman, with Dorota Kobiela, is one half of the team behind “Loving Vincent,” the 2017 animated film about the life and death of Vincent van Gogh. The film, billed as the world’s first fully painted feature film, was a truly astounding labor of love: Over the course of a year, 125 classically trained oil painters were enlisted to reimagine 94 famous van Gogh paintings in just under 67,000 individual frames. Hugh featured on WePresent when we shared a behind-the-scenes video that explored how this truly unique film came together.
