Internationally renowned photographer and filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini has left no area of image-making unexplored. As a filmmaker, he’s directed music videos for Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey, commercials for Apple Music, Fiat and Zegna, and a documentary about his late mother, former Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani. Meanwhile, his photography—through which, he tells us, he hopes to project “an unsettling feeling of beauty”—has appeared in the pages of Vanity Fair, the New Yorker, Rolling Stone, and beyond. We featured Francesco’s work on WePresent as part of a series on up-and-coming image-makers curated by the legendary photographer Rankin.
