Meet your creative peers to discuss how to thrive in the changing world of photography at the launch event of our free downloadable guide “New Rules: Navigating photography’s unfixed future” in London. If you’ve already read the guide, this is an opportunity to take it IRL. At the event, in collaboration with Working From_ at The Hoxton, we’ll hear from Gem Fletcher, Charlie Engman, Janina Sabaliauskaitė and Jermaine Francis, as well as from all of you. Meet us at The Hoxton Southwark on Tuesday May 21 2024 from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

The Project

It’s not easy to be a working creative right now. In response to these testing times, “New Rules” is a series from WePresent that will interrogate how to thrive as an artist in unstable creative industries that are changing beyond all recognition. Our first comprehensive free guide, guest edited by Gem Fletcher, looks at the world of photography. Not only is “New Rules: Navigating photography’s unfixed future” a collection of stories, opinions, advice and ambitious tales from leading photographers, it offers hope. Download the guide now.

The Event

Come along to the launch of the guide, in collaboration with WorkingFrom_, and rediscover your love for your career, amid all the confusion and fear in the industry. There’ll be drinks, snacks and a fascinating, unflinching panel with Charlie Engman, Janina Sabaliauskaitė and Jermaine Francis, hosted by the writer, podcast host and guest editor of “New Rules”, Gem Fletcher.

Existing as a freelance worker in the photography landscape is not easy right now but the situation is far from useless. It’s a chance to be more creative than ever, together. The event is completely free—just like the guide. The only requirements are your participation and an open mind.
